Säfa Måckum [sæfa mↄkөm] är måckus hemplanet. Den är också den tredje, som kretsar kring stjärnan Dåk Måckum [dok mↄkөm]. Planeten har en enda stor måne, som heter Kuta Måckum [kuta mↄkөm]. Den har stora likheter med Jorden, men har något längre omloppstid, och lite kortare rotationstid. Tyngdkraften är också något högre.
Saefa Maackum [sæfa mↄkөm] is maacku’s homeworld. It is also the third one orbiting the star of Daak Maackum [dok mↄkөm]. This planet has a single, large moon named Kuta Maackum [kuta mↄkөm]. It bears great resemblance to the Earth but has somewhat longer orbital time and a little shorter rotation time. Its gravity is also slightly higher.
Världskartorna visar ursprunglig vegetation. Orange är öknar, gult är slätter, grönt är skogar, brunt är tundra och berg, vitt är istäckt land, och ljusblått istäckt hav. Mörkblått står förstås för alla andra hav.
Det som står skrivet på världskartan nedan, är kontinenternas namn. ”Ågåckapp” [ogↄkap] betyder ”Österland” på obokyta. Dom andra kontinenternas namn, saknar känd betydelse. Dom uttalas (från norr till söder) [ʏblœn], [pamaθ] och [bærʉd].
These world maps show original vegetation. Orange is deserts, yellow is plains, green is forests and woodlands, brown is tundra and mountains, white is ice-covered land and light blue ice-covered sea. Dark blue of cause stands for all other seas.
What are written on the world map below are the names of the continents. “Ågåckapp” [ogↄkap] means “Land of the East” in Obokytan. The names of the other continents lack known meaning. They are pronounced (from north to south) [ʏblœn], [pamaθ] and [bærʉd].
Federationen Althea tog kontakt med Säfa Måckum, år 4014 e Kr (1544 efter Nedstigandet). Måcku låg cirka 4.000 år efter mänskligheten, i teknisk och organisatorisk utvecklig. Inte för att arten på något sätt, skulle vara dummare än människan. Måckur är tvärt om lite smartare, åtminstone i genomsnitt. (Å andra sidan, är dom lite klumpigare.) Dom kom bara att utveckla jordbruk, cirka 4.000 år senare. Utan jordbruk är det inte möjligt, att uppnå någon högre grad, av teknisk eller organisatorisk komplexitet.
The Federation of Althea took contact with Saefa Maackum in 4014 AD. Maacku was about 4,000 years out of pace with humanity in technological and organizational development. Not that the species is in any way less intelligent than humanity. To the contrary, maackus are a little smarter at least on average. (On the other hand they are a little clumsier.) They just came to develop agriculture about 4,000 years later. Without agriculture it is not possible to reach any higher degree of technological or organizational complexity.
