Propalaeotherium

En liten växtätare, som levde i Europas subtropiska skogar, i mitten av paleocen. Trots sina fyrtåiga fötter, var den närmast släkt med dagens hästdjur. Jag skulle tro att den dog ut, när livsmiljön blev för torr för den.

A small herbivore which lived in subtropical forests of Europe in the middle Palaeocene. Despite its four-toed feet it was most closely related to today’s horses. I would think it died out when its environment become too dry to it.
